I’ve had my share of bad days – and I definitely try to do my best to remember that moments are moments. They certainly don’t have to control the rest of the day – week – month – or even year. Life is full of unexpected surprises, bad days, and less than favorable decisions. I think it’s just important to remember that today is now, yesterday is gone, and tomorrow is never promised.
And in the meantime. There are cookies.
I think this is something we all have a hard time remembering. We don’t have to be like anybody else – and the decisions we make can’t be based on what we think others will think of us. I think it’s okay to have our own opinions, or way of doing things. When I was starting this blog, I found myself approaching it the same way I approached planning the wedding, I started to concentrate on what I didn’t want this blog to be. Which you may think to yourself ‘isn’t that a negative approach?’, I don’t think so. I did the same thing with my wedding. Because when you’re finally getting to plan your wedding – not just dreaming about it – you think everything is great. The dress, the flowers, photographs. You really have to keep a critical eye and find the things you don’t like, so you can narrow what you do. I’d love to experience more of a sense of community – but found some other ATL bloggers were more catty, and classified themselves as, well – bitchy. They said it proudly, so this is not my being catty. Personally I don’t want to criticize, I think everybody should do things the way they want to. If you’ve got to take a selfie to show an outfit – fine. If you instagrammed it because you don’t know photoshop well enough – great! We all have to start somewhere, and we all have to be different – else blogs would be boring.
